Investigation and study of laboratory controller board of three phase AC Point machine

Abstract

The point machine controller board is part of a wayside control system whose safe and secure operation plays a significant role in the safety of the movement of trains and their displacement between rail lines and the safety of passengers' lives. The board can control two Point machines simultaneously and send their status to the central interlocking system. The design of these boards has been carried out by presence in the field in accordance to adaptation with Tehran metro lines 1, 2 and 7.  This designed and simulated board is used for 3 phase AC point machine with seven wires driving and detection technique. The location of this board is inside of object controllers in order to gather the data status of point machine and sending to Interlocking system and receiving the commands to switch the situation of point machine. In this paper the structure of object controller incorporated in Tehran metro which accommodates the designed board has been analyzed. Also, for measuring the performance, the designed circuit has been simulated in different modes to produce expected results.
